Hi there
I have a Pentium 2 Laptop.. what is my architecture? Do i need an i386 install or a i586 for example?

Shouldn't be a problem. The i686 processors can do anything the i386s could do (but not vice versa).
Only thing is you would want to use the correct stage tarball for your processor. If your livecd has stage tarballs you'll still want to download ones from the net that are for your processor arch. |

To build your system properly, you need to get 3 things right: the CHOST specification, your processor specification, and the tarball.
a Pentium 2 uses the i686 CHOST, the "pentium2" architecture specification, and the i686 tarball. _________________ .
