horde-imp help

i recently followed this http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/qmail-howto.xml
everything went fine up to horde-imp.
well i have tryed to get the new horde-imp to work with no success, the config are really very different.
i was going to go back to older horde but there are some security advisorys.
if anyone could give me some advice on the configs, it would be greatly help me.

I've never got the portage version of horde up and running because it forces you to use webapp config. I don't understand why we are forced to use this.

I just installed horde using the source from the horde website, you can be up and running following their instructions in around 10 minutes.
