Hallo... 
Ich habe ein Problem mit Vacation. Ich habe das Programm vor längerer Zeit mal getestet, aber dann wieder mit 'emerge -C' entfernt. Nun bekomm' ich aber von Zeit zur Zeit eine Mail an ROOT die folgender massen aussieht!

Mein POSTFIX läuft ansonsten einwandfrei! 
Habe ich irgendwo vergessen 'Vacation' zu deaktivieren, aber wo? Wie bekomm ich diese Fehlermeldung wieder los?

hmmmmm...
Das dachte ich eigentlich auch schon, aber kann nichts finden!
Hier ein Auszug aus meiner CRONTAB:

Da ist wohl nichts von Vacation drin.
Auffällig ist auf jeden Fall, dass es immer nur ein paar Sekunden nach einer vollen Stunde, also kurz nach 12Uhr, kurz nach 13Uhr usw. kommt.
Und vor allem immer kurz nachdem diese Mail mit dem Betreff --> Cron <root@sewulba> test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons <-- auf root geschickt wird!
Hoffe diese Information hilft weiter. Ich sitz auf jeden Fall noch im dunkeln!

Ich habe doch gar kein Vacation mehr drauf. Es war auch nie konfiguriert. Wollte es mal testen, aber wegen Zeitmagels es wieder gelassen!
Woran könnte es noch liegen? Diese Fehlermeldung müllt mir voll den Benutzer ROOT (Mailbox) voll!

Alles was in mittels CONFIG_PROTECT geschützten Verzeichnissen installiert wird, wird von Portage nicht gelöscht. Auch eventuelle Default-Konfigurationen nicht. Wenn man in bugs.g.o nach config sucht, finden sch viele alte Bugs zu dem Thema.

Eventuell hilft Dir folgendes weiter:
Nochmals emergen von Vaction und anschliessend wieder löschen mit emerge -C Vacation.
Beim Löschen kannst Du sehen, welche Dateien wirklich gelöscht werden und welche nicht gelöscht werden.
Diese dann per Hand löschen.
Ebenso kannst Du eventuell nach dem emerge mit etc-update nachvollziehen, wo conf Einträge gemacht worden sind und diese manuell löschen

Hat leider nicht geholfen... Übrigens das Vacation-Problem besteht nur auf dem Benutzer ROOT!

Naja, ist ja auch klar:

Falls postfix irgend ein Problem mit dem Zustellen hat, sendet er die Fehlermeldung an Root (oder an den User, welcher als postmaster angegeben ist).
Also wenn es auf "gutmütigem" Weg nicht hinhaut, dann würde ich es halt mal radikal versuchen. Klappere einfach alle Dateien auf deinem Rechner ab und Suche nach Dateien mit dem Inhalt vacation. Das dauert zwar eine Weile, dafür erhältst du dann eine Liste aller Dateien, welche ein vacation enthalten.
Dann überprüfst du jede Datei und kommentierst/entfernst vacation in dieser Datei. Dann einmal den Rechner neu starten und beten .
Z.B.

| Vielleicht liegt das Problem im Home-Directory von root. (.forward oder .procmailrc) Das versucht, vacation zu starten, was aber nicht geht -> Error. |

Hi,
du könntest auch mal in den Systemlog schauen, Postfix müsste dort ja vermerken, von wem die Mail kommt (pid) oder etwas ähnliches vielleicht, wenn Apache bei mir eine Mail versendet steht da nämlich z.B.:
