|
|
Hi,
I recently bought a new laptop - Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A7640
It comes with Sempron 3000+,DVDRW,SIS logical solution including (video=760,net=sis900...) look at "lspci" output at the end.
Anyway the problem is with power management basicly but it can be devided to several issues:
1. No standby when closing the Lid (acpi_listen acknowledge the event but do nothing)
2. Can't go manualy to standby/suspend (acpitool -s suspends to ram but no return from there - system halts)
3. Battery status every now and then shows that there are no battery left (even when charging) so can't do nothing with the wornings for low power........
4. No fan status - acts as there is no one.
5. Now the most ugly part, the PC comes with Win XP home and everything works as it should be even there is a special button to stop the fan and drop the CPU freq to 350mhz (Btw cpu freq scaling works great except that special case with 350 mhz - availble options are 800,1600,1800)
Haven't tried software suspend but currently it's not an option for me because i will not powerup my laptop every couple of minutes.
Besides that everything else works perfectly.
Any one have any suggestions?
