I got this new AMD64-box, which is up and running fine with Gentoo except for one thing. I can't seem to get TVOut working from my ATI Radeon X850 XT-card.

With both BusID-lines uncommented in my xorg.conf, pointing out PCI:1:0:0 i get

X starts up but I just se some flickering on my display (I have to hit ctrl+alt+backspace). Still no TV-Out.
Setting BusID to PCI:1:0:0 for my primary device and PCI:1:0:1 for my secondargy gives me:

| ATI handles multiple heads on their graphics cards a little strangly. PCI:1:0:0 is the primary head and PCI:1:0:1 is the secondary head. The driver treats the card as two seperate devices. If you boot the machine with a TV connected it should work as far as I can tell...but I am no expert as I switched to nvidia almost a year ago and haven't messed with ATI drivers too much since. |
