|
|
Hi,
on amd64, I installed mozilla-firefox-bin and anytime I load as root firefox-bin I get this error in konsole. Obviously, Firefox runs fine. When I quit firefox, the message in konsole ends.
If instead I run FireFox as regular user, I do not see this error message.
Code: | (firefox-bin:16881): Gdk-WARNING **: Error converting from UTF-8 to STRING: Conversion from character set 'UTF-8' to 'ISO-8859-1' is not supported |
I remenger someone advicing me to run LANG="en.US......." firefox-bin or something like this and it did work. Now, I lost that note and do not know how to fix this.
Please, if anyone has a hint...
Thank you,
Spiro

I get that too. I think it is an AMD64 thing. I usually ignore it since firefox runs fine anyway. |
