|
|
I've got a strange error after installing the 3.3b2. When I want to open a WEB site I've got the following message in the konqueror window:
Code: |
An error occurred while loading http://www.kde.org/:
Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_http'.
|
If I try to open konqueror directly from bookmark, I've the same error in an alert box.
I've tried to start KDE from a newly created user but the same problem arise.
Note that if I open konqueror from another user in the Konsole then kio_http work well.
I discovered that when deleting DCOP related files (.DCOPserver*) and .ICEauthority then kio_http work but DCOP not (so kde become unuable)!!
It is a know problem or I'm the first and only?
Do I need to fill a bug repport? if I do, to who as I may come from a compilation problem. _________________ Fred

|
/usr/lib/libroken.so.16 is part of app-crypt/heimdal

Didn't work out, right now I'm reemerging kdelibs, hoping this is any good. I'll report on that later. |

Oh, forgot it to mention, surely you have to recompile kdelibs and kdebase. I had exatly the same broken lib and my konquerer is now working. |

Recompiling kdelib did the trick for me as well. Double-thanks, zendron. _________________ nadams (at) ieee (dot) org |
