Hi,
I installed Gentoo successfully today after 5 days of trying.
But when Gentoo is booting I got following message:
* Bringing eth0 up via DHCP...
/sbin/rc : line 109: /sbin/dhcpcd: No such file or directory [!!]
* ERROR: Problem starting needed services
* "netmount" was not started
I use router PheeNet to access Internet and for Lan connection with other computers.
I have DHCP enabled on router, and router gave IP adress to computers.
When I start LiveCD
#lspci - result: D-Link System Inc RTL8139 Ethernet (rev10)
#lsmod - result: 8139too and mii |

What you might need to do it (from the looks of it anyway) Configure your computers IP address manually, then emerge dhcpcd. Then that error should go away, and everything will work through dhcp. |

Hey Man,
Thank you on quick reply.
I did emerge dhcpcd and everything works fine.
Thank you again. |
