I'm trying to define some global mouse gestures with Khotkeys and no matter what I do I can not get the gesture I created to actually work. Here is what I want this particular gesture to do:

1. Only work when the desktop is in focus, so I don't accidentally break my Opera mouse gestures.
2. I want this gesture to Open Opera itself, when it is executed.

I would really appreciate some step by step instructions on how to achieve the above.

Now on to 3ddesktop, I was wondering if it was possible to bind a set of keys so that when I wanted to switch to a given desktop it would actually go through the animation of zooming out and spinning to the correct desktop when I hit that set of keys. Is this possible and if it is how do I bind the commands nessecary to keys of my choice [I'm aware of how keybinding works in Khotkeys but any other methods for this second question would be appreciated. I'm more interested in the 3ddesktop commands nessecary anyway.]

Thanks in advance.

If you're still looking for an answer to this question (or anyone else is), it can be done. Take a peek at the /etc/3ddesktop.conf file for some hints. If you need any more help with this, just give a yell. I have 3ddesktop wrapped around my little finger. :) I'm beginning to get a little tired of its constant 6-10% CPU usage, though. It's not a lot, but I think it might be more than I want to give up for eye candy. 3ddesktop is one of those things that is sooooo cool - for about a week.

There should be no problem with mouse gestures on the desktop. Just make a new group, and under conditions, add New->Active Window, then New->Simple Window. Then check Desktop, and finish it off. Add an action in the group to perform some keyboard shortcut you associated with Opera.

Well I dfid that and it had no effect, when I get a chance I will try it again though just to make sure I wasn't just not doing it right.
