Nach einem Update auf kde 3.4.1 hab ich Probleme mit dem Anmeldungsmanager.
Zum einen kann ich zwar "Uhr anzeigen" einstellen, aber sie wird nicht angezeigt.
Zum anderen kann ich keine Benutzer mehr verstecken (ausblenden)
Bei Bedarf kann ich auch Config Files posten, wüsste nun aber nicht mal welche.... |

du hast im "Administrator" Mode im ControlCenter den Anmeldungsmanager bearbeitet?
config file wäre: /usr/kde/3.4/share/config/kdm/kdmrc |

genau, root-logins sind ja nicht mehr möglich, deshalb User --> Administrator Mode
Die Einstellungen bleiben komischerweise auch erhalten (nach reboot) nur der anmeldebildschirm bleibt wie bisher...

Finde ich eine Zumutung,das man sich auf x nicht mehr als Root einlogen kann  ...
Dewegen hab ich mir dann gestern Abend,schnell noch GDM emergt...
Finde den eh inzwischen viel besser als KDM.
Kann ich jedem empfehlen.  |

Als root einloggen ist unter Linux ähnlich dumm, wie unter Windows. Die "Zumutung" bedeutet Sicherheit.
