I'm using synce and pppd to connect to my pda. maximum speed is about 200kps. It is terribly slow. I know, that it must works much faster. Now baud rate is 115200(default) in pppd config. Maybe i can set it bigger? _________________ Using Gentoo since May 2003. |

Hmm, judging from the usb-serial kernel documentation, this seems to be the max:
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/usb/usb-serial.txt wrote: | The driver presents a serial interface (usually on /dev/ttyUSB0) over
which one may run ppp and establish a TCP/IP link to the PDA. Once this
is done, you can transfer files, backup, download email etc. The most
significant advantage of using USB is speed - I can get 73 to 113
kbytes/sec for download/upload to my iPAQ. |

I'm not saying that.
The Kernel doc might be outdated, or referring to USB1 only.
I don't know. _________________ Please put [SOLVED] in your topic if you are a moron. |
