Hello everyone.
I am planning on installing gentoo on my laptop (PII@300MHz,
128MB RAM). Since I don't have a whole week to start from stage1 tarballs, I'm gonna use stage3 and perhaps GRP.
1) Will I be able to prelink my system if I use stage3-i686?
2) Will I be able to prelink if use stage3-i686 + GRP?
To make my point clear, are stage3 and GRP packages compiled with -fPIC?

OK, I am now (after ~36 hours) in position to answer my question.
Thankfully, it is YES!
Almost everything prelinks, just like if I had done the installation from stage 1.
