emerge

I have an account on a high end RedHat system (let's call it bigiron) and I have a wimpy system (let's call it wimpy).

wimpy has a basic gentoo system installled and running and I want to install kde. So one says

emerge kde --- and about 2 days later the compile is finished.

What I would like to do is say 'emerge kde' on bigiron and have the compille complete in several hour and then simply move the
files off of bigiron to wimpy and were done.

Now I assume all things are possible with gentoo (or nearly all things). Has anyone thought about how this
might be done??
