I have following problem:
When I include OSS in the Kernel config, the sound works on Gaim, certainly soft, but it works.
On xmms it occured a error message, and on Mplayer also.
Code: |
<*> Sound card support
<*> PowerMac DMA sound support
|
When I include Alsa it comes a KernelPanik.
It occured when I include the following:
Code: |
ALSA PowerMac devices --->
<*> PowerMac (AWACS, DACA, Burgundy, Tumbler, Keywest)
|
When I negate this, and only:
Code: |
<*> Sound card support
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture --->
< > PowerMac DMA sound support
<*> Advanced Linux Sound Architecture
<*> Sequencer support
<*> Sequencer dummy client
ALSA PowerMac devices --->
< > PowerMac (AWACS, DACA, Burgundy, Tumbler, Keywest)
|
then the Kernel boot up, but during that it founds no alsa device
Moreover on boot up Gnome everytime, it occured a message:
No mixer found or so, independence of Alsa(without device) or OSS
I hope anybody can help me, maybe with some ideas, tips or a solution.
