When I started my gentoo install I linked make.profile to the no-multilib profile. Now I found out this isn't what I want and I do want multilib. I am not even done with the install and still booted to the livecd. My entire system has already been emerged. What should I do?
Thanks |

Just switch to the correct profile:
Code: | /etc/make.profile -> /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2005.0 |
And then Code: | emerge glibc binutils gcc portage |
That's it. |

Once you've done that, you can also replace grub-static with a natively compiled (32-bit) version - simply emerge -C grub-static && emerge -av grub.
Moved from Portage & Programming to Gentoo on AMD64. _________________ No-one's more important than the earthworm. |
