Hi,
Is it possible to install Gentoo RR4 LiveDVD 2.40 on your local HDD? https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-216214.html
If so, how do you do it? And if how do you update the installation with KDE 3.4.1 and/or Gnome 2.10?
Cheers

It'll be more difficult then a clean install, but I guess it can be done iin the same way as you install knoppix: http://www.knoppix.net/oldwiki/?pid=362
Reason it'll be difficult is many livecd's remove important packages, such as gcc, kernel sources and things like python (needed to run portage / emerge) to keep the download as small as possible. _________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. |
