|

G'day,
I have an amd64 and recently upgraded to gcc-3.4.3, during emerge -e world (part of the recommendation by robmoss) my kernel was upgraded from r9 to r12.
I have an audigyls and I am using alsa 1.0.7 which I build myself ( alsa and oss are excluded from the kernel. soundcore is M)
I am not getting any sound at all - everything looks ok

So no sound yet?
Have you tried the driver ca0106 instead of audigyls?
I've read that has been changed ....
I've just bought an audigyls but haven't try anything yet.. just reading.... so please, report if you have any success |

I just play music (with alsaplayer) and I have no compaints with the card or alsa.
I've tried the new alsa-1.0.8 with the ca0106 driver but I haven't had any sound at all. since the upgrade.
I'm thinking of going back to 2004.1 ( 2.6.5 and gcc 3.3.3 ) |

I'm trying ca106 driver with alsa-driver 1.08.
I have sound but really bad and kind of fast....Did you unmute all stuff using kmix or similar. It happends to me that everytime I change driver all mixes turn off. |

I have copied the .asoundrc from the audigyls page on the asla site and the sound works.

I'm using OSS and aparently I get everything, surround, recording... do you getting recording as well? It's ok as it is but I'd rather have it working with alsa... |
