|

Hallo to Everybody!!
I have a problem! I want to take the autoconfig from the liveCD and build it in my existing gentoo system!
What i have done: I start from the liveCD, locate to /etc/init.d/ and copy the script autoconfig in my /etc/init.d/,
I add the autoconfig to the boot runlevel!
At the moment when i start my gentoo the autoconfig starts normaly but don't detect my hardware!!
SoundCard: unknown vendor:unknown device 8086:24d5...
driver=unknown...
VideoCard: unknown vendor:unknown device 8086:2572...
When i boot from the liveCD it detect all of the hardware.
My question is: Is there a config file that i must update to detect my hardware? |

I don't get it!
Why do you want to take the livecd's autoconfig? Is it because your hardware isn't detected or is it when you use the livecd's autoconfig your hardware is not detected anymore.
btw I think it's not worth takin' it from the livecd...a simple emerge -u powered upgrade should do the job... innit'? |
