[SOLVED]KDE 3.4 menu icons are gone!

the other day i was feelin' frisky and was bored with xfce, so i emerged gnome and kde. i removed my -gnome and -kde use flags from make.conf. did an emerge --newuse world and everything seemed to be OK until i saw that the system thought i had kde 3.3 and 3.4 both installed..... i figure that was because i did an emerge kde instead of the emerge kde-meta like i later learned. so i emerge -C'd everything that was blocking kde-meta from emerging and finally got it installed. well all seemed well until i logged in and all the icons in the K menu disappeared. i still have the text entrys, but the icons are gone. any one know what could cause this?


Solved!
ok, i did an rm -rf .kde* in my home directory and it went back to normal. we'll see how long before they disappear again!
