Ho appena finito di constatare che l'aggiornamento di Xorg non funziona bene sulla mia macchina e quando dico che non funziona bene intendo dire che mi "sputa in faccia" | Quote: |

Ho aggiornato anche il file xorg.conf (mai in automatico  ) e l'aggiornamento mi proponeva solo una modifica, posto cmq anche questo file | Quote: |

Ho anche provato a riemergere ma non è cambiato nulla  ...
Purtroppo per me sembra dal forum (perlomeno quello italiano) che nessuno abbia avuto il mio stesso problema 
Cosa potrei fare per risolvere la situzione ?

Prova.
Dal tuo post leggo
forse bisogna solo rilanciare l'installazione dei driver nvidia in modo che aggiornino alcuni moduli Xorg.
MI è successo una cosa simile con un Ati... bastava rilanciare l'installazione dei driver in modo che aggiornassero alcune librerie Xorg prima di caricare il modulo vero e proprio.
Altrimenti succede che il "nuovo" Xorg ha sovrascritto le librerie di quello vecchio e i driver nvidia(gia installati) non caricano perche hanno bisogno di certe librerie che avevano aggiornato (al momento dell'installazione) su Xorg "vecchio".
Magari è il tuo problema...

Sfortunatamente posseggo l'unica scheda nvidia per chi la società non fornisce driver per linux quindi mi è sempre toccato usare nv come driver.
Escludo quinid che sia questo il problema

posta l'output di emerge info e equry uses xorg-x11
è capitato anche a me, una volta, ed era colpa di un errore che avevo infilato nelle USE o nelle CFLAGS (non ricordo con precisione) |

Problema vecchiotto (io l'ho avuto ieri) ma in effetti sui forum si da' la colpa piu' ai driver nvidia ed ati.
Io ho risolto riemergendo xorg dopo aver inserito messo in make.conf le safe flags e il makeopts ad 1

ccache va' disattivata (per sicurezza ho scuotato il repository)
ed infine il gcc NON deve essere hardered (e comunque il mio non lo era).
Non so quale di queste opzioni impatti, ma IMHO sono quelle che potrebbero influire maggiormente sul problema. |

Anche a me dopo l'aggiornamento non funziona + niente, però i miei driver sono gli nvidia, non gli nv.

Ho risolto, il problema era dato dal flag USE hardened, l'ho rimosso è ho dovuto ricompilare world con le nuove USE, bisognava infatti togliere questa flag non solo da xorg ma anche (almeno) da gcc e glibc e a quel punto ho preferito toglierla completamente.
Adesso vado a mettere [risolto] nel titolo
P.S. pava_rulez il tuo problema è dato da pam non da xorg, probabilmente dopo l'aggiornamento non hai sistemato le varie configurazioni, qui sei OT è meglio se apri un'altra discussione. |
