Hallo, habe mir ein paar Sachen im Shop bestellt, und Antwort von Cafepress erhalten (die machen das ja scheinbar für gentoo). Wie immer mit Kreditkarte bezahlt, allerdings dieses mal ohne Secure-Code (warum wird das nicht mehr angeboten, und warum gibt es das bisherige Shopsystem nicht, ich fand das gut, mit der Accountverwaltung usw.).
Jetzt habe ich diese E-Mail erhalten:

Sind die noch ganz sauber?
Erstens muss meine Kreditkartennummer voll ausreichen, zweitens gabs mit meiner Adresse im eigenen "Gentoo-Shop" nie Probleme. Und drittens, ich werde garantiert nicht auf solche Mails antworten, die haben ja eine Schraube locker.

Ganz sauber wirkt das in der Tat nicht und unheimlich wäre mir das auch. Aber nur mit Bank und Adresse könnte man auch nicht sooo viel anfangen. Trotzdem komisch  |

Ich habe jetzt eine recht freche Mail an Cafepress geschrieben (ohne die gewünschten Daten),
und mich darüber beschwert dass ich den alten Gentoo-Shop
a) grundsätzlich besser fand
b) keine weitere Daten bisher nötig waren
c) meine Daten korrekt sind(!)
d) und ich es überhaupt nicht in Ordnung finde solche Mails zu erhalten
e) dass früher die Zahlung per Master-Card Secure-Code abgesichert wurde
Mal schaun, außerdem geht morgen wohl noch eine Mail an die Zuständigen bei Gentoo selbst.
Dass wirkt zwar übertrieben, aber ich gebe grundsätzlich Informationen im Internet auf eigenen Wunsch, nie auf Aufforderung. Und das ist Standard.

Schreib gleich noch 'ne Mail hinterher:
Grundsätzlich sollten solche Mails mindestens signiert sein (um die Authentizität des Absenders prüfen zu können)
Falls der Empfänger einen öffentlichen PGP/GPG-Schlüssel auf den üblichen Servern hinterlegt hat, sollte die Mail zusätzlich verschlüsselt sein.

Exakt. Genau für so was gibt das das ja auch. |

So,
jetzt haben Sie auch noch meine Order verschlampt, und bis Ersatz kommt braucht es ca. 8-10 Werktage 
Das war meine letzte Bestellung beim offiziellen Shop.
Schade eigentlich, das Shop System war wesentlich schneller, schöner und zuverlässiger unter DRobbins eigener Verwaltung.

| hast recht der gentoo store ist echt verbesserungsfähig... openbsd macht das besser (die t-shirts sind dort echt gut und mit der bestellung gibts auch keine probleme) |
