This is a good question I simply never got around to asking.
To take this question a little further, does this program also work to take pictures of the grub bootsplash? If not, is there a way to take a screenshot of the grub screen? |

nevermind about my previous question. It appears that some serious programming or installing vmware would have to take place before you can take a screenshot of grub within a digicam.
Anyway, using the information found in this post, I was able to do this. |

You mean to get a screenshot of your desktop? There are many utils for that, Gnome comes with a default one and even Gimp has this ability. |

Do you have Gimp? If yes, then you can go to the acquire screenshot option and to tell it to grab the screen after 10-15 seconds. Like this you will have the time to run 3ddesktop. |

Thanks alot I got the screenshot I wanted now, one step closer to my customization mini faq.
Anyone here have any idea if its possible to capture animation, I want to dump the X output specifically the output when 3ddesk is running into an mpg file for example. _________________ Ware wa mutekinari.

I have a problem about taking screenshot of my console. This result occurs with fbgrab: http://nocture.hit.bg/new/console.png
Any suggestions? _________________ Best regards,

That means you are running your framebuffer in 8bpp mode (256 color). You need to set up your video mode. |
