|
Alright I have Debian "Woody" already installed on my Dell Inspiron 3000 laptop. Specs: 233 MMX 128MB 4.5 Gig USB and such. My problem comes after initializing at the gentoo boot prompt. It will proceed to load and detect drivers and hardware, but freeze at PCI Enabling.
Direct Quote:"PCI: Enabling device 00:01.2 (0000-> 0001)" it will hang there permenantly. Now before this line appears it runs through the USB-uhci.c. I have tried w/ and w/o PCMCIA nic card. I have had the same trouble with RED HAT. I have also tried Gentoo RLS 1.2 .x86, 1.4 RC2 i586, and 1.4 RC2 ix86 no luck on any. But Debian works and installed no problem. Is there a boot option for the Kernel I can use or anything?
I appreciate any and all help in advance. |
