Hi All,
I'm interested in modifying my Belkin F5D7632UK4 (a wireless adsl router) so it will be able to use of the ethernet ports to route traffic from rather than the adsl dialup. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an embedded linux out there for this device already or had some suggestions on where I should start looking to get gentoo (perhaps from GNAP? http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/embedded/gnap.xml) on there.
Cheers,
Alan. |

Well... without knowing what those things run internally... getting Gentoo on them is an impossibility.
If it's one of the Broadcom router clones, then you're in luck... they're little-endian MIPS32-based machines which run Linux out of the box. However, you'll probably have to run the µClibc-based embedded stages for MIPS1 (mipsel1 to be exact), as we don't offer any MIPS32 compatable stages based off glibc. _________________ Stuart Longland (a.k.a Redhatter, VK4MSL)

Thanks guys. From a quick google it apparently it based on a broadcom chipset. Any suggestions/pointers what my next step would be?
Cheers,
Alan. |
