|
|
I have setup a shared maildir for a several users. Mail can be seen in all of them without a problem so I must be doing something right. However, this is only if I move or copy mail from any of the users into the shared maildir.
If I setup a Procmail rule to deliver mail to this shared box, the direct user will receive the mail, but the others cannot see the new mail.
Why is this?
Is it also possible to setup a shared Sent items maildir but only for mail being sent into the shared receiving maildir? |

If you're using courier-imap, there are 2 ways to set up shared folders, and both are confusing (see http://www.courier-mta.org/imap/?README.sharedfolders.html). If you're using courier-imap with the filesystem way of sharing folders, then probably the problem is that the mail isn't delivered with group read permission. In which case you should look into how procmail can be persuaded to deliver mail with a different umask from normal.
As for the shared sent items... that sounds like something you will need to do in your MUA, but I'm not sure. |
