Hi, I am trying to use valknut to connect to my own opendchub over a private lan.
When I try to connect to either localhost:9999 or 10.0.0.4:9999 I get this back
Quote:
[22:48:44] <DCGUI> Connected
[22:48:44] <DCGUI> Hubname change: 'localhost:9999' -> 'Open DC Hub'
[22:48:44] <Hub-Security> This hub is running version 0.7.14 of Open DC Hub.
[22:48:44] <DCGUI> Error: 'Operation now in progress'
[22:48:44] <DCGUI> Disconnected

When this happens I get a list of the connected users' names, but that is all. I am then disconnected and it trys again to connect in a few minutes.
I have had this from other hubs too on the internet but just thought that it was something they had to block this client.

Has anyone else come across this before?

Cheers
-John

Hey, I do not believe it is a problem with a firewall. I do not have a firewall running on my PC, I can connect to my server with linuxdcpp (which is too unstable to use tho) and also it does not happen with all dc hubs.

I just tried
Code:
 emerge dchub
and that hub lets me connect no problem.
Maybe it is a problem with opendchub & valknut, although I am sure I have been able to connect to it before :S

I have exactly the same problem.
Sometimes it connects after pressing "connect" for >10 times, or autoconnects itself after some time, or not...

hmm ok.... maybe they will fix it then, or an even better maybe would be if linuxdcpp became more stable :)

Try a different connection speed, this solved the problem here.
