My ip changed what do i do?

hey guys im really new to linux maybe you can help me..

my gentoo uses a static ip and i have been upgrading my routers and adding a firewall and in this process my ip changed... well i dont remember how we set the ip and gateway ect... up...

Can yall be of some assistance?

i am running a few websites off of this box.. i need to get it back up ASAP...

My regular "tech support dude" is on vacation...

Edit your /etc/conf.d/net and change the IP value.

Take a look at the handbook. It ain't that hard.

But if you have all the data, the easiest would be to run .....

BTW...

that net-setup eth0 dont work..

and it still isn't working but i think now its a firewall issue..
