So, I turned of my computer yesterday due to the massive storm that seemed to have sat over my house for a few hours. I turned it back on this morning, and I get an error message saying:
For Wireless (802.11) Support emerge net-wireless/wireless-tools
I find this highly vexing, since I already have wireless-tools. I tried re-emerging wireless-tools, and I tried revdep-rebuild incase something wierd happened. No effect, same error. The only thing I can think of is that something happened during my emerge -uD world, which I did yesterday, but I checked the packages it was supposed to be updating, and none of them seemed network related.
Thx.
Edit:
dmesg shows the device as present, and iwconfig lists the device as having a wireless extension, ifconfig up doesn't work though. _________________ --Quote of the Month--
