Having nothing but trouble getting my system updated from old glibc to 2.3.5
The first time I emerged it, is fell over on a compile error. (something about logging and pthreads).
The 2nd time I tried to emerge it, it hung whilst compiling a specific file. I left it 7 hours, and it was still stuck (I Ctrl+C it, and it carried on, but I assume it will fail to link....)
Is this just me, or is something borked (again) in Portage?
I recently upgraded autoconf, perhaps this is the cause??? |

Are you using a i586, if so there is a bug. You may also want to take a look at the forum thread. |

Yep, running i586...
I just LOVE the "stable" portage tree. Pretty lame that something is core as glibc has stupid stuff like this making it's way into the stable tree... |
