TV-Out with Vesa

Hi, have an AMD64 with an ATI M10 chip, fglrx just gives me a black and white output, and I want to try whether this is because of my cable/tv or because of the driver.
How can I get tv-out to work with vesa? Mind you that atitvout doesn't work for me :cry:

Modify your xorg.conf to change the output format. You'll find the option easily if you generated it using fglrxconfig.
