If I want to emerge anything that has a -m32 flag...I get a error that I dont have a C compiler ... ( cannotcreate executable .. )..had alot posts on that with only noobs answering it with links to solutions that dont work...
I googled my eyes off for one weak and learned all abbout multilib and anything that is related to my error...
Dont wana go into details...now im trying to re-emerge gcc, emul-...baselibs...
emerging gcc returns this error:
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/../../../libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/../../../libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lc
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [32/libgcc_s_32.so] Error 1

I figured out that my 75emul-linux-x86-base is LDPATH=/emul/linux/x86/lib:/emul/linux/x86/usr/lib
i changed it to something like LDPATH=/lib32:/usr/lib32:/usr/lib32/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3
but I still have the same error...im realy bored fixing this fricking bug nobody else seam to have...
How can this be...I build gentoo from 2005 portage.. so there cant be a upgrede bug from 2004 ...
In my case the lib32 is near to empty ( no libncurses.so... ) it is in emul directory...
bah... I dont know..Im so tired i dont know what to think...post anything...this forum is my last hope to the problems I never fixed. |

This may not be the solution to your specific problem, but... one time I was getting wierd gcc errors like the ones your are mentioning. The problem was that my system clock was messed up. It was either really far in the past or far in the future (I can't remember, but I think it was the past). |

Finally...I had few peaces of wird settings in etc ( im shure i had Q1-2005 p )...I addapted the 2004...-2005.sh script and the LDPATH...worked for me... without seting my system clock to mars localtime... If you want to get something working in lunux...do it yourself...dont even try to register and ask in a forum...it will help you exactly 1/16 times. |

Just two more posts and it will be your turn to give an answer to someone. Will you be able? |
