Everytime I reboot or poweron my clock is off. So everytime I have to set it again and it is getting to be a pain. I thought at first that my motherboard battery was dead but I just replaced it and it is still doing it.
Any clues?

Not sure what can cause it except a faulty motherboard.

I use NTP (Network Time Protocol) to set the time from an external timesource each time I boot and then i have a cron job that checks my clock against an atomic time source from time to time to check drift and adjust accordingly.

I was having a simular problem, although my clock would slowly get off the real time instead of at boot. But I found these links helpful:

If your clock is set to local time (it probably is), change CLOCK="UTC" to CLOCK="local" in /etc/conf.d/clock.

I always wondered why gentoo sets this to UTC by default, virtually every computer I've seen uses local time.

Thanks
