i am using gentoo 2005.0 on x86 platform.
i have some problems at that time.
1-) init 3 does not work. when i enter "init 3" command nothing happens
2-)any of <CTRL><ALT><Fx> combinations is not working. i mean nothing happens when i press <CTRL><ALT><F3> .
3-) and it is about my keyboard configuration i think. my keyboard <ALT><any_key> combination does not work also.
for example when i try to write "@" by pressing <ALT><Q>, nothing happens again.
what do you think the problem is? |

Use the 'rc' command as root to switch runlevels. 'rc boot' would change you to the boot runlevel, whereas 'rc default' sets the runlevel to the default level. Hopefully this will get you started. |
