Hello,

I recently encountered a problem with Klaptop. I set it up to switch cpu frequency gov between performance and conservative depending wether AC power is on or not. This worked well for some time, but the last few days it doesn't and I have no clue why.

If I configure the standard profiles and click on apply the govenor is changed immediatly accourding to the state of the AC power and during KDE startup its also set right, but not when I connect/disconnect. On the other side, the icon changes right, so the ACPI event is processed somehow. I even can manually change it, so the acpi_helper also works.

Anyone else noticed this?

I am using KDE 3.4.1 (monolithic ebuild) and kernel 2.6.12-r6.

Regards, Markus

Edit: Typo

Same problem here, KDE 3.4.2-split-ebuild and kernel 2.6.12-gentoo-r6.

I've filed a bug report at KDE: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111140

Same :S
This works, at least:
Code:
#cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
userspace
#echo -n ondemand > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
#cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
ondemand
