I just got the card and have been trying for a while to install it.
I've built the Hermes driver into my kernel. I've installed wpa-supplicant and configured it per the howto.
I've rebooted and tried to bring up eth1, but get:
Code: | SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth1: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device
eth1: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device |
I don't know where to begin. LSPCI shows the card (Atheros Communications).
What's the first step? _________________ www.impressusart.com |

If your card shows up as an Atheros card in lspci, try using the madwifi driver instead of hermes. Many different chipsets are/were sold in "orinoco" cards. |
