I'm having this really odd problem with Kismet and I can't figure out why. It always says <no ssid> for the name of every network it detects. I'm using it with a Cisco Aironet on a Powermac G3 Pismo with a very recent Gentoo install.

I don't think it's my card because the same card with a very similar config file works on my other laptop, a Thinkpad 600E with Slackware on it. I looked at the kismet dump files in ethereal and it shows that all of the management packets kismet is getting are malformed. However, if I put the card in monitor mode and use ethereal it's able to gather packets just fine, and those aren;t malformed.

I'm able to use the card just fine for actually using a network and all of the wireless tools work fine. It's just Kismet that's acting strange. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I've googled and posted on the Kismet forums and haven;t been able to find an answer.
