HI,
I run an AMD64 S939 gentoo installation. Most of the things work fine, but i can't get DRI to work. I tried many things and my last try was this
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-362343-highlight-x300.html
It didnt work for me. I could setup everything accept for the chipset part, I only got 2 options something with amd64-agp and intel shit. So that didnt apply for me.
I disabled DRM in the kernel.
There is no error whatsoever, modprobe agpgart works, modprobe fglrx works, did the opengl-update ati
but DRI RENDERING is still NO.
xorg loads the fglrx driver aswell
I use the Linux DFI64 2.6.12-gentoo-r8 #3 SMP Fri Aug 12 01:11:16 CEST 2005 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
Is there somebody with some help?
greetz guni
PS:
My motherboard is a DFI Lanparty Ultra D and I use a PCI-e gfxcard
I never had problems with my nvidia or centrino gfxcards |

Do you have this
Code: | # This loads the GLX module
Load "glx"
# This loads the DRI module
Load "dri" |
and this
Code: | Section "DRI"
Mode 0666
EndSection |
in your xorg.conf? |
