I notice when I when vt that there is an error on the screen:

Exec failed: /tmp/firegl1... (Permission Denied)

this is because I mount /tmp with noexec, as most users probably do. Is anybody else receiving this message? The card still works AFAIK so I don't think it's doing any harm, just not ideal.

I also had ATI Radeon 7000 card some time ago. I also mount /tmp with noexec and I never had problems ... It can be some monitor or other non-critical function that requires to exec itself inside tmp IMO. _________________ Registered Linux user number 369644
