|

Hello all,
I'm doing an install now on a Dell Poweredge 4300....PERC2 raid card in it.
Can someone advise me on which kernel will work best? Can I just go with the latest gentoo-sources? This is just going to be a webserver...nothing fancy.
I've been seeing bits and pieces in forum searches about people having serious kernel panics...but, I'm not sure from reading exactly what all kernel parameters I need to set up to handle the hardware raid. I've got raid5 working in the install.....but, not sure what all I need.
Can someone advise on what kernel to use and what specific params I need in kernel config....
I'm not using genkernel...doing it by hand...
Thanks in advance,
