Hi, I currently run NIS and have been looking at LDAP. One problem with NIS is that if the user on the client machine knows the root passwd for his/her machine (to install programs etc.) then they can just su to any other NIS user. What would people recommend as the best way to preventing this possible security problem. Regards, Steve.
