Openswan, l2tpd, ipsec hanging, needs restart

I have followed all the guides that are setup and searched the forums and it's been a GREAT help.

However, I continue to have to restart the l2tpd and ipsec services every few days or so in order to connect again. Once I restart the services, all is well.

edit: Actually it seems that if I restart the l2tpd service then all is fine. So ipsec may not be the problem, just thought I'd add that.

Anyone experience this?

yes, with newest version of openswan... I now use
