Hi...
Just installed vixie-cron and the dir /etc/cron.d was create with the normal .keep file in it... But what is it good for?
Can't find any information about it... _________________ After 5 hours trying to install PHP 4 on FreeBSD I missed my Gentoo machine... |

It's used as a common directory for applications to install cron tasks they might
consider useful for you, such as regular database updates and such. The scripts
inside /etc/cron.d are then sourced (or not, depending on your config) by your
