|
|
Hi guys
While installing using Emerge, the installation continued all day until it was night so i left it on.
Then somewhere between when i slept and when o woke up, the Power went off, instantly killing the Emerge.
Is there a way to continue without having to start again?
P.S.
I am 100% sure that the installation was not finished when the power went off.

emerge -r i beleive is the command but if you do emerge --help it'll show you a list of options and one of them is resume _________________ Man, I thought Ultimate Robot Fighting was real, like pro wrestling, but it turns out it's fixed, like boxing. |

Links is a small app, so recompiling it would only take a minute. If the emerge
was interrupted by a power failure, I would suggest you play safe and re-emerge
the app it was compiling at the moment. You probably should fsck your partitions
as well in case the power failure damaged the filesystem. _________________ I am Nuteater, hear me roar. |

Actually, i was installing kde-meta.
When i first tried it, i had to install 320 packages.
Now when i type emerge kde-meta, it only installs 113 files, obviously it continues form the last time
