I have a usb keyboard plugged into my computer because this pc has no ps2 ports. When I boot up the minimal install cd I can use the keyboard up until I boot the gentoo cd. I am guessing because it is a usb keyboard I have to pass somthing at boot, but I have searched and searched and can not find out what. Anyone have any ideas on what I am missing here?
Thanks all,
LG |

When the cd boots you can press F2 for verbose mode. During this boot it will ask for a keyboard and if you don't react in time it will continue with the most common one.
Maybe the right keyboard can be set during this phase? |

Just as a reference for the future, I think that you meant ACPI and not APCI. Am I right? Or did you meant APIC?
Also, if your problem is solved, please add [solved] to the title of the thread (edit first message). _________________ Jorge.
