Firefox-bin does not start after updating emul package, it claims for libgobject-2.0.so.O
I am running stable branch. |

Hi,
there is a bugreport:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100795
There are a lot of other 32bit Apps they refuse to work with the emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.2 Ebuild.
Workaround, mask emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.2 and use emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.1.1.

Thank you, but masking this package does not work for me.
I added "=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.1.1" to my package.keywords, but emerge still wants to install the new version. |

Hi,
first edit, and create if necassery, the file /etc/portage/package.mask with the following:
Code: |
>=app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.2 |
And in /etc/portage/package.keywords you shall write:
Code: | app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs ~amd64 |
Then it will work, do I hope.

please try the newest version (2.2.3), the problem is fixed there. if you encounter any problems with other apps, please report them on bug 100795. 2.1.1 contains a vulnerable version of zlib (1.2.2) and shouldn't be used if possible |
