|
|
Is there a way to set the runlevel3 (textmode) display to that like the livecd? With tightly formated screen? I tried adjusting the fb/screenrez in grub.conf but it nothing changed
EX
Code: |
kernel ..kernel.. video=vgacon:ywrap,1400x1050x32@60 |
to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.
EDIT: should be 1400x1050-32 not x32 (which still doesn't work)
SOLUTION: kernel (hd0,0)/kernelver root=/dev/sda3 vga=0x31A video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr

That was the ref i was used to set it up. The frame buffer didn't seem to work to resize the screen. The fonts worked though. Is the example setting I used above correct? |

I figured it out. I ended up using
kernel (hd0,0)/kernelver root=/dev/sda3 vga=0x31A video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr |
