I have this new 311 v3 pci card here and I really need to get it working so I can get rid of the cables on the floor (due to parental concerns; I on the other hand don't mind a few small cables). Anyway, it's a v3 which means that madwifi drivers don't support it... when I do "lspci | grep net" I get:

Code:
advent r3solve # lspci | grep -i net
0000:00:04.0 Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation nForce2 Ethernet Controller (rev a1)
0000:01:07.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd.: Unknown device 1faa (rev 03)

So it IS detected by my system at least. I've tried ndiswrapper with the latest drivers from netgear's website (yes I used the .inf files, not the .exe as someone asked me on another forum). It is appearantly a marvell chip instead of the atheros chip used in the 311 v1 and v2, so does anyone know anything about these? How can I get this working?

You'll need to research the kernel configuration parameters, and configure the modules needed.
Might need an /etc/modules.autoload entry, too.
You're likely, if your card is like my Netgear WG511 card, going to need 'firmware' in your hotplug directory. I don't know the file name or URL for finding your model.
Got mine at http://prism54.org , but that is quite possibly not what you need.
May the google be with you.
Chris
