kprinter hangs when printing from openoffice

this is seen under openoffice 1.0.3 and I don't think it was a problem before. this makes it difficult to print pdfs and faxes from openoffice. any ideas on how to fix this? The spadmin test works fine under root and as a normal user, generating a test pdf with kprinter... thanks for any thoughts

I believe this is a general problem with OO 1.0.3.

you're right. I upgraded to oo 1.3.1 beta and kprinter works now
