Hi, anyone knows if is it possibile to install gentoo on it?
The cpus are based on ARM chip, usualli now they are: Intel PXA 25x/ 27x Xscale or Samsung s3c 2440.
Kernel seems to support the Samsung s3c 2410, the 2440 is the same but with more speed and digital camera engine.
PXA seems supported, but anyone of you have tried it? |

There is a Linux distribution for the IPAQ called familiar.
So, there are the necessary kernels and drivers for PDA, installing Gentoo on it is another story.
However, this is quite similar to putting gentoo on the zaurus, on which I am working.
So, if you have a good knowledge of gentoo and linux you can join us in #gentoo-embedded and we can give you some hints and share ebuilds.
If you are a beginner or just a little advanced, better forget it and use familiar. _________________ Just unused Microsoft-Software is good Microsoft-Software |
