I'm trying to start mpd when I login, but I can't the right file to put it in. bashrc works, but it is executed every time I open a new shell. I know I'm missing something here, could someone clue me in? |

Copy the code from the initscripts that figures out if the bash started is a login shell - that only happens when you login to bash. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

You might try moving it from your .bashrc to your .bash_profile. See the section INVOCATION in man bash. |
